Prague is a beautiful city with many attractions for visitors, and we are most fortunate to have the support of the National Theatre (Národní Divadlo), who have made their spectacular dance studio facilties available to us. Originally they were a monastery. Above are a few pictures of the wondeful facilities and surroundings available to you when you come to the International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague
Accommodation is based on two to four people sharing in University locations in the heart of Prague’s old town, and includes breakfast. These are reasonably priced hostels (see the hostels’ website) with friendly, helpful staff and good facilities (Note: a single room can be arranged at additional cost and only if specifically requested). Should you wish to make your own arrangements for staying in Prague, which you are very welcome to do, we recommend that you contact the City’s tourist board or click on one of the links below. If you do make your own arrangements you must still inform the organisers of your contact details in the city prior to your arrival. Please note that while our hostel of choice may not be the Ritz, it has the unique advantage that it is able to accommodate all of the dancers under one roof and the location is fantastic. It is just a short walk of about seven minutes, across the Old Town Square towards Charles Bridge, to the studios of the National Theatre.
During the day, snacks, light meals, fresh fruit and drinks can be bought in the studios’ canteen. Situated between all the studios on the ground floor, the canteen also offers a pleasant area to meet and relax between classes. This canteen is subsidised by the National Theatre.
