Jarek Cemerek

Jan Cemerek was born 23rd December 1973 in the Czech Republic. He is fluent in Czech, English and French.

Education:     He studied for five years at the Conservatoire in Ostrava (CZ). Then Choreography at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki (Finalnd). He has a BA of Choreography and an MA of Dance Teaching from the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

Awards: 

The winner of both prizes on the Czech Dance Platform The Dance Piece of the Year 2011 and The Dancer of the Year 2011

    Choreography for Balletboyz at The Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London. (The winner of a choreographic competition from 185 choreographers). Guest teacher at Iwanson School of Modern Dance in Munich

    Co-Founder of the contemporary dance company Albamora in Denmark. Teacher at The Royal Ballet School in Denmark
